On March 15, 2016, Ms. Song Qing, Director and President of BAHEAL Pharmaceutical Group, Mr. Miao Zhimin, Head of Bodhi Huisheng Hospital, Mr. Xiu Haiqing, Deputy Head of Bodhi Huisheng Hospital, Mr. Kim Jong Hyun, Special Consultant of Bodhi Huisheng Hospital, Mr. Zheng Deyan, Shibei District Mayor of the People’s Government of Qingdao, Ms. Wan Zejuan, Health and Family Planning Commission of Shibei District, Ms. Wen Xuena, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Commerce of Shibei District and other leaders visited Seoul National University Hospital at invitation.

The delegation firstly visited the Pentang Hospital of Seoul National University Hospital. Yu Dongxuan, Chief of the Global Plan Development Department of Seoul National University Hospital introduced the general situation of the hospital, the HIMMS7 hospital information system, features of each discipline and the construction of key innovation platform to the delegation. Accompanied by him, the delegation visited the clinic, the health examination center and the VIP ward. After that, the delegation drove to Gangnam-gu CBD center to visit the famous Gangnam-gu health examination center. Wen Zhuying, Chief of the Administrative Department, Director of the International Business Department of Seoul National University, Representative of the Office in Abu Dhabi, accompanied the delegation and introduced the general situation of Gangnam-gu health examination center.

In the evening, under the witness of 30 people from China and South Korea including Zheng Deyan and Song Qing, Miao Zhimin, on behalf of China, and Professor Jin Shihua, Head of the International Business Department of Seoul National University Hospital, Dean of Children’s Hospital, on behalf of South Korea, signed the friendship and cooperation agreement. The two sides would jointly construct the China-South Korea Friendship Hospital.

Bodhi Huisheng Hospital will be built in BAHEAL Health Sci-Tech Park. It will be a large modern comprehensive hospital in accordance with the standards of JCI as well as Grade III and Class A. In the construction period I, it will offer 800 beds. Seoul National University Hospital is a large and comprehensive hospital that is the most prestigious in South Korea, and some of its disciplines enjoy high reputations in the world. At the completion of the construction project of the hospital, it will be the first international, digital large comprehensive hospital in Qingdao, also an open platform for the medical frontline, interaction of teaching and learning, research and innovation, and talent cultivation. It is of great significance in raising the medical level of Qingdao, developing health industry, and promoting international cooperation.

Mr. Miao Zhimin highlighted that Qingdao was very suitable for establishing an international hospital with its obvious advantage in traffic location and its beautiful natural and ecological environment. He hoped that by taking the opportunity of signing the agreement, Qingdao could further strengthen the cooperation and quicken the construction pace, to build the hospital into a model hospital of modernization and internationalization at an early date.
