International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (IFPW) was founded in Virginia, United States in 1977. In the last 40 years, IFPW has established a platform for dialogues and exchanges in the global pharmaceutical distribution industry. Its main goal is to promote good pharmaceutical distribution practices, and to establish secure, efficient and sustainable pharmaceutical distribution channels. IFPW members represent wholesalers from 27 countries, including major players such as McKesson, AmerisourceBergen and CardinalHealth in US, and Boots Alliance in UK.

IFPW’s annual CEO Roundtable and the biennial General Membership Meeting strives to provide companies with the insight needed to be successful in a changing marketplace and showcase the industry from the perspective of pharmaceutical distribution. It represents a gathering of the industry's thought leaders, which strengthens relationships with other stakeholders and builds overall confidence and cooperation in the healthcare delivery system.

On March 29, 2016，Baheal Pharmaceutical Group was officially accepted by IFPW Board of Directors as a member. Currently, only one association and 5 corporations from China are IFPW members. China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce is an Association member; Baheal Pharmaceutical Group, China Resources Pharmaceutical Group, Chongqing Medicines Co., Ltd. and Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd. are Wholesaler Members; Yichang Humanwell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a Manufacturer member.  Baheal Pharmaceutical Group will strive to establish partnerships with other IFPW members, which collectively have 40% of global pharmaceutical distribution market, and will jointly promote global  pharmaceutical distribution traceability and security standard.
