Release Time:2025-12-09 View Count:13

Baheal Pharma Group (301015.SZ) is accelerating the implementation of its integrated radiotherapy strategy centered on precision oncology technologies, building a full-cycle ecosystem encompassing global technology introduction, China-based manufacturing for worldwide supply, precision radiotherapy center development, and evidence-based clinical research. Between 5th-9th December 2025, Baheal announced a series of major milestones surrounding the ZAP-X® Gyroscopic Radiosurgery System, including the launch of a global manufacturing and supply center, the initiation of large-scale clinical studies, and the continued expansion of precision radiotherapy centers in China. Together, these developments mark a new stage of large-scale, standardized clinical adoption of ZAP-X in China and reflect the accelerating execution of Baheal's long-term radiotherapy strategy.

Global Technology Integration Addresses Unmet Clinical Needs

Brain metastases remain one of the most clinically challenging complications of advanced cancer, with approximately 1.5million new cases diagnosed annually in China alone. Conventional surgery, chemotherapy, and traditional radiotherapy each face significant limitations, including surgical risks to neurological function, limited penetration of the blood-brain barrier by systemic therapies, and insufficient protection of healthy brain tissue during radiation treatment. In response to these unmet clinical needs, Baheal Pharma Group strategically invested in Silicon Valley-based ZAP Surgical in November 2024 and assumed responsibility for the commercialization of ZAP-X in China while simultaneously advancing plans for global-scale manufacturing.

Developed specifically for cranial stereotactic radiosurgery, ZAP-X incorporates a proprietary gyroscopic architecture capable of delivering thousands of non-coplanar radiation beams. The system combines submillimeter isocentric precision, real-time image guidance, and real-time dose monitoring, establishing new standards in both treatment accuracy and safety. Its fully self-shielded design also eliminates the need for conventional radiation vault construction, creating a more patient-friendly treatment environment.

ZAP-X GYROSCOPIC RADIOSURGERY™ PLATFORM

Beyond advancements in mechanical engineering, the continued evolution of stereotactic radiosurgery increasingly depends on information technologies capable of enhancing radiation positioning and dose control. Supported by Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem, the ZAP R&D Center continues to drive hardware and software innovation aimed at improving clinical outcomes.

China-Based Manufacturing Strengthens Global Supply Capacity

ZAP-X has been approved in 24 countries and regions worldwide and has been used in more than 5,000 clinical cases, gaining broad recognition from leading medical institutions globally. As international adoption continues to accelerate, demand for the system has grown rapidly, placing increasing pressure on existing manufacturing capacity at ZAP Surgical's Silicon Valley production center. Leveraging China's advantages in supply chain integration and manufacturing efficiency, Baheal Pharma Group has actively advanced the establishment of a global production center in China to support growing worldwide demand with scalable manufacturing capacity.

On 6th December 2025, Baheal officially launched the Baheal High-End Manufacturing Industrialization Base, an integrated facility combining R&D, manufacturing, testing, maintenance, and training functions. Equipped with advanced radiation shielding testing infrastructure and modular intelligent production lines, the facility operates in compliance with U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulation standards and serves as the global manufacturing and supply center for ZAP-X, enabling "China-based manufacturing with global delivery."

Upon full completion, the facility is expected to achieve annual production capacity of approximately 100 systems, with around 80% allocated to international markets. In addition to supporting global delivery demand, the manufacturing base will also provide production and R&D support for future product optimization driven by real-world clinical evidence generated in China, further strengthening the precision radiotherapy ecosystem.

Hospital Partnerships Expand Access to Precision Radiotherapy

To accelerate the clinical accessibility of precision radiotherapy technologies, Baheal Pharma Group is advancing a "hospital-enterprise collaboration" model through the development of independent third-party precision radiotherapy centers. Under this framework, partner hospitals serve not only as deployment sites for ZAP-X but also as strategic collaborators in clinical services, evidence generation, and industry standard development.

On 9th December 2025, Baheal entered into a strategic partnership with Beijing Tiantan Puhua Hospital to jointly establish a precision radiotherapy center centered on ZAP-X for specialized brain tumor treatment. The collaboration followed Baheal's earlier partnership with Peking University International Hospital and represents another major step in expanding the national precision radiotherapy network. As the third-party radiotherapy center model continues to expand nationwide, Baheal expects to establish approximately 15 radiotherapy centers across China by the end of 2026. The initiative is expected to significantly improve clinical access to advanced radiosurgery technologies while accelerating large-scale adoption of ZAP-X in China.

Clinical Research Generates Evidence for Precision Care

To further validate the clinical value of ZAP-X and optimize precision treatment strategies for brain tumors, Baheal Pharma Group is collaborating with leading medical institutions across China to accelerate evidence-based clinical research initiatives.

On 5th December 2025, Baheal and Peking University International Hospital jointly launched a real-world study evaluating the clinical application of ZAP-X across multiple brain tumor indications using post-market clinical data.

Together, these studies demonstrate the deep integration of ZAP-X into China's clinical research ecosystem and are expected to generate high-level clinical evidence supporting broader adoption of precision radiotherapy technologies. Leveraging China's strong clinical research infrastructure, the resulting evidence may also contribute to the global advancement of stereotactic radiosurgery practice.

Integrated Innovation Accelerates Long-Term Growth

As radiotherapy technologies continue to evolve toward highly specialized clinical applications, Baheal Pharma Group has established a comprehensive precision radiotherapy portfolio spanning brain, body, and cardiac treatment scenarios.

In addition to ZAP-X for cranial radiosurgery, Baheal-incubated innovator Huake Pioneer is developing China's first 4π intelligent robotic radiotherapy system for body tumors, utilizing a globally innovative Q-arm structure to enable 4π full-solid-angle radiation therapy with enhanced precision and reduced side effects. In the emerging field of non-invasive cardiac radiotherapy, Baheal is also advancing development programs in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Diseases, with the goal of pioneering new treatment approaches for cardiac arrhythmias through X-band radiotherapy technologies.

From strategic investment in ZAP Surgical and the launch of a global manufacturing center in Langfang to the rapid deployment of precision radiotherapy centers and clinical validation platforms, Baheal Pharma Group is building an integrated ecosystem spanning R&D, manufacturing, clinical services, and scientific research.

These initiatives also align closely with Baheal's long-term strategy focused on branding, innovation, and internationalization. The investment in ZAP Surgical represents a key component of the "bringing in" strategy by introducing globally advanced radiotherapy technologies to China, while the launch of the Langfang manufacturing base and its "China-based manufacturing with global delivery" model establishes an important foundation for future international expansion of Chinese-developed high-end radiotherapy systems.

Moving forward, Baheal Pharma Group will continue to strengthen the synergy between global technology integration and international market expansion, leveraging its full-industry-chain capabilities to improve access to precision radiotherapy for patients worldwide.
