The 2016 Information Annual Conference of the Chinese Medicine Circulation Industry was held on September 22-23 in Qingdao. With "Information Sharing · Service Innovation" as the theme, the conference aims to follow the development trend of information technology and promote information exchange and communication among companies by interpreting industrial policies, focusing on hot issues, exploring innovation models, and researching industrial development trend. The Blue Book, The Development Report on the Chinese Medicine Circulation Industry (2016), was issued during the event. China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce and BAHEAL Intelligent Technology signed a strategic agreement on information cooperation to co-construct the information system of the industry.

The report puts forward strategies for supply-side reform

This year as the start of the Thirteenth “Five Year Plan”, is a pivotal year for China to implement the medical reform. Wang Weili, Deputy Director of the Fair Competition Division, Market Order Department, the Ministry of Commerce, said that in the medical reform, the medicine circulation industry should have themselves accurately positioned. They not only need to ensure the supply and safety of drugs, and the convenience to use them for the masses, which is its traditional function, but also shoulder the new mission to serve the great health industry and meet people's multilevel and personalized health needs.

By analyzing the Chinese reform of medicine and health system and the new policies concerning the reform of the pharmaceutical industry, the Blue Book puts forward strategies for the supply side reform of the industry under the new situation, namely, to cooperate with Internet pharmaceutical companies and commercial insurance companies and guide the release of prescription outside hospitals, so as to expand the online market of prescription drugs. At the same time, it points out that the transformation of drug companies in terms of business models can help with medical industrial separation and classified diagnosis and treatment in our country.

Take use of medical big data to benefit the common people

The conference mentioned that, data value is in explosive growth along with the application of information, especially the Internet, cloud computing, and the development of the technology and application of the Internet of Things. Medical data is improving, so how to integrate data from various medical systems, how to analyze and use those date in a creative way, and how to benefit the people with the big data shall become a new topic.

Fu Mingzhong, Executive President of China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce said that the Association needs to find its own position in the industry and among the companies, research the big data realization technology, build big data competence platforms, explore application opportunities of industrial big data in improving internal management and innovating business models, establish data-driven business operation mechanisms and digital marketing new models, and cultivate a group of big data application platforms to develop enterprises and industries. At present, establishing industry foundation database and application support platforms is the top priority. And the agreement signing with BAHEAL Intelligent Technology is for the supporting platform.
