On December 6, 2025, Baheal Pharma Group announced the official launch of its “Baheal Pharma Group High-End Manufacturing Industrialization Base” located in the Daxing International Airport Economic Zone (Langfang). This base also serves as ZAP Surgical’s global manufacturing center in China, marking a major step toward large-scale production of the ZAP-X Gyroscopic Radiosurgery™ System, a leading precision radiotherapy device for brain tumors, enabling “Made in China, Delivered Globally.” The ceremony was attended by Hou Xiaoping, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Langfang Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Langfang; Ding Ling, Vice Mayor of Langfang and Party Secretary and Director of the Administrative Committee of the Langfang Airport Economic Zone; Fu Gang, Chairman of Baheal Pharma Group; Zhu Xiaowei, Vice President of Baheal Medical; and Dr. John R. Adler, Founder and CEO of ZAP Surgical, along with other distinguished guests.

Baheal Pharma Group High-End Manufacturing Industrialization Base is officially launched.

As part of Baheal Pharma Group’s global innovation and industrial strategy, this base was jointly developed following Baheal Medical’s 2024 investment in ZAP Surgical, a global leader in radiosurgery technologies. Under the collaboration, Baheal is responsible for the commercialization of ZAP-X in China and is building a global production center to support the large-scale manufacturing and global supply. The initiative aims to ensure continuous access to advanced precision radiotherapy for patients with brain tumors worldwide. ZAP-X is a dedicated brain radiosurgery robot for intracranial and head-and-neck tumors and lesions. It enhances both precision and safety in radiotherapy, enabling highly targeted tumor ablation while protecting surrounding healthy brain tissue to the greatest extent. The system also incorporates a fully world's first self-shielding design, enabling “sunlight-style radiotherapy” without the need for traditional radiation shielding infrastructure.

With its advanced performance, ZAP-X has been approved in 24 countries and regions and has been adopted in over 5,000 clinical cases globally. As global demand continues to increase, production capacity at the existing Silicon Valley manufacturing center has become insufficient to meet worldwide delivery needs. In response, Baheal Medical and ZAP Surgical jointly established the China-based global manufacturing center to expand production capacity and support growing international demand for precision radiotherapy.

The facility is an integrated manufacturing hub for precision radiotherapy equipment, combining R&D, production, testing, maintenance, and training functions. It is built in compliance with both domestic standards and international regulatory requirements. The site is equipped with advanced radiation shielding testing facilities and modular intelligent production lines, ensuring that all manufactured systems comply with China’s regulatory framework as well as the U.S. FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulation. Upon full completion, the facility is expected to reach an annual production capacity of approximately 100 systems, with around 80% of output dedicated to global markets, positioning it as a key global manufacturing base for high-end radiotherapy equipment.

At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Fu Gang, Chairman of Baheal Pharma Group, stated that the launch of this high-end manufacturing industrialization base represents a key milestone in Baheal’s globalization strategy and the industrialization of high-end medical devices in China. He noted that Baheal has now established a fully integrated value chain in the radiotherapy field, covering R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization. Looking ahead, Baheal Medical will continue to leverage large-scale production and global supply capabilities to advance the clinical adoption of innovative radiotherapy technologies and bring cutting-edge medical solutions to patients worldwide.

Dr. John R. Adler, Founder and CEO of ZAP Surgical, emphasized that the joint venture between ZAP Surgical and Baheal Medical will enable the establishment of a higher-quality and larger-scale manufacturing system in China, accelerating the adoption of advanced radiosurgical technologies worldwide. He stated that “cancer patients are facing some of the most difficult moments in their lives; what we are building is not only technological innovation, but also tangible hope. We look forward to seeing these systems can truly benefit patients around the world.”

The rapid construction and deployment of this “High-End Manufacturing Industrialization Base” manufacturing base were supported by the international-standard services and comprehensive infrastructure provided by the Daxing International Airport Economic Zone. Mr. Ding Ling, Vice Mayor of Langfang and Party Secretary and Director of the Administrative Committee of the Economic Zone, noted that the project significantly enhances the region’s competitiveness in the global high-end medical equipment sector. He stated that the facility will help integrate global industrial chain resources, accelerate the development of a more complete and internationally oriented life sciences ecosystem, and strengthen the region’s differentiated advantage in high-end medical device manufacturing.

Against the backdrop of rapid technological evolution and global healthcare industrial restructuring, Baheal Medical is accelerating its transformation into a technology-driven innovation enterprise. In the radiotherapy field, the company is building a fully integrated value chain spanning R&D, manufacturing, and operations. In addition to the ZAP-X brain radiosurgery platform, Baheal is also advancing the development and industrialization of China’s first 4π intelligent body radiotherapy system and the world’s first X-band cardiac radiotherapy system, contributing to improved global accessibility of advanced medical technologies and strengthening China’s position in the international medical device landscape.
